The terms and conditions for Cuvva’s GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE Competition

By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be unconditionally bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Promoter: Cuvva Limited (Registered Address: The Old Sessions House, 23 Clerkenwell Grn, London EC1R 0NA, United Kingdom)

Eligibility:

  • The competition is open to residents of England, Scotland and Wales only aged 17 and above

  • You must hold a full UK DVLA drivers licence or provisional learners licence to enter the competition

  • Employees of Cuvva and Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc, their immediate family members and anyone connected with the competition are excluded from participating

  • Cuvva will not accept entries that are automatically generated by computer or completed by third parties or in bulk.

Competition period:

  • The competition will run from 4th March 2024 (the “Opening Date”) to 14th April 2024 (the “Closing Date”)

  • All entries must be received by Cuvva by 11:59 PM GMT on the Closing Date to be entered into the competition

Entry requirements:

  • To enter the competition, you must download the Cuvva app and get a quote. Only one quote entry will be accepted during the competition period. When you get a quote, you’ll automatically be entered into all the future weekly draws taking place during the competition period.

  • The requirements above must be satisfied to enter the competition. Once the requirements above are satisfied, additional ways you can increase your number of entries are as follows:

  1. Purchasing one policy available on Cuvva app or website during the competition period gives you one additional entry into the draw. So, the more you drive with Cuvva the more entries you accumulate and the higher your chance of winning one of our weekly prizes.

  2. Commenting on a related Cuvva competition social media post gives you one additional entry.

  3. Sharing the competition on your socials and tagging Cuvva gives you one additional entry.

  • Only entries received during the competition period will be considered. Cuvva accepts no responsibility for entries not received for any reason, including technical issues or delays.

Prizes:

Prizes for winners and runners-up will be supplied by Element London Ltd of 5 Morie Street, London, SW18 1SL (the “Supplier”), except for the Cuvva discounts which will be supplied by Cuvva.

1. Prizes for Winners (total of 12 people)

  • Six weekly draws - each week one person will win a Sony TV bundle (the “TV Bundle”) and another person will win a Sony music bundle (the “Music Bundle”). In total there will be 12 winners:

TV Bundle includes:

  • 1x Sony Bravia 50-Inch LED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, with Youview/Freesat HD & Dolby Atmos, Black

  • 1x Sony Bluetooth All-In-One Soundbar

  • Secure delivery within mainland UK

Music Bundle includes:

  • 1x Sony Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Wireless Over-Ear Headphones with Mic/Remote

  • 1x Sony Extra Bass Waterproof Bluetooth Portable Speaker

  • Secure delivery within mainland UK

*Winner management for the above prizes will be provided by the Supplier.

2. Prizes for Runners-Up (total of 40 people)

  • 10 people will win 1x £50 Cuvva discount on Cuvva policies each

  • 30 people will win a GHOSTBUSTERS™: FROZEN EMPIRE goody bag. Contents include:

  1. Character Pen;

  2. Mini-Puft Squishy Keychain;

  3. Mini-Puft Night Light; and

  4. Glow in the Dark Slime.

*Winner management for the runners-up who win the goody bags will be provided by the Supplier and winner management for the runners-up who win the Cuvva discounts will be provided by Cuvva.

Winners and runners-up selection:

  • All winners and runners-up will be selected through a random draw and notified by email, phone or social media within 60 days of the Closing Date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 48 hours of being contacted, Cuvva reserves the right to select an alternative winner on the same basis.

  • For each winner, the prize will be delivered to one address within mainland UK only

  • For the runners-up, the £50 Cuvva discount will be delivered to the runner-up’s Cuvva account and the goody bag will be delivered to one address within mainland UK only.

  • The prize may not be claimed by a third party on the winner’s behalf

  • Only one prize will be awarded per participant entering the competition

  • In the case of winners, Cuvva will ask for consent to publish the full name and picture of each winner in promotional materials (the “Promotional Materials”) that will be posted on the Cuvva website and social media and circulated via email newsletters to customers. Cuvva will publish Promotional Materials within 60 days of the Closing Date but will remove the Promotional Materials, except for those sent via emails, after 60 days from the date of posting them.

  • Cuvva must publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. In the case of winners whose full name and picture are published in the Promotional Materials, this obligation is automatically satisfied. In the case of runners-up and any winner who later withdraws consent after Promotional Materials are published, Cuvva may make available the surname and county of the winners and runners-up should this be requested by anyone within 60 days of the Closing Date. The participant can object to this information being made available or refuse certain part of this information being made available by contacting Cuvva by email at press@cuvva.com.

  • All elements of the prizes are subject to availability, and exact brand names or models may vary. In the event that any of the prizes listed are unavailable, alternative products of equal monetary value may be offered at the Supplier or Cuvva’s discretion.

  • Prize may need to be signed for on delivery and it is the recipient’s responsibility to check whether all items are present and undamaged, and if not, to notify the Supplier or Cuvva within two days.

  • Winners and the runners-up (except for those receiving the £50 Cuvva discount) are responsible for ensuring that any delivery notes are checked on receipt

  • Prize excludes anything not expressly listed above

  • The Supplier and Cuvva will use reasonable endeavours to deliver the prizes within six weeks of the winner or the runner-up claiming the prize. However, due to industry-wide supply chain issues, there may be unforeseen delays to deliveries of physical prizes and the Supplier and Cuvva shall not be responsible for any such delays outside of their control.

General terms:

  • Cuvva will ask all winners for consent to use their name and picture in Promotional Materials for promotional purposes before they are able to claim the prize. Should a winner not consent, the winner will not be able to claim the prize and Cuvva will select an alternative winner. This does not affect the winner’s right to later withdraw consent once the consent is given. Participants may opt out from the competition at any time until the Supplier or Cuvva dispatches the prize. Once the Supplier or Cuvva dispatches the prize they are not able to opt out.

  • The prize is non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.

  • Cuvva reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and disqualify any entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.

  • If the winner or the runner-up elects not to, or is unable to, use part of a prize, the winner or the runner-up will forfeit that part of the prize.

  • Cuvva reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical issues.

  • Cuvva's decision in all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • Insofar as is permitted by law, (i) Cuvva, its agents or distributors; and (ii) Columbia Tristar Marketing Group, Inc. will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the participants or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death suffered by any participant entering the promotion, or as a result of accepting or participating in any prize. Participants’ statutory rights are not affected.

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Data Protection:

  • Cuvva, its agents and/or representatives will store, share and use the personal data submitted with the entry in accordance with its general Privacy Policy. Any personal data submitted to the Supplier will also be treated in accordance with the Supplier’s privacy policy, which is accessible at: https://element-london.com/privacy-policy/.

  • Further to the above Privacy Policy, for the purposes of the competition, Cuvva may process participants’ personal data on the following basis:

Administer the competition and provide the personal data of the winner and runner-up to the Supplier to perform a contract for the prize draw entered into between Cuvva and the winner or runner-up.

Name, email address, phone number, postal address, along with any other information required for entry into the competition or prize draw.

Performance of a contract

To create Promotional Materials announcing the winner to be posted on Cuvva’s website and social media for 60 days from the date of the posting, and included in a newsletter that goes out to Cuvva’s customers.

Name and picture of the winner

Consent. - Winner has the right to withdraw consent any time by contacting press@cuvva.com.

However, the winner’s later withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any emails already sent or the posting of Promotional Materials on the website and social media until the time of the withdrawal of consent.

  • Who might Cuvva share personal data with? There are circumstances where Cuvva may disclose personal data to third parties. This will only take place in accordance with the applicable law and for the purposes set out in this Terms and Conditions, including the Privacy Policy referred herein. This will include sharing personal data obtained from the winner and runner-up with the Supplier and may include any other third parties instructed by the Supplier to enable the winner to receive prize directly from the Supplier.

Any personal data submitted by the winner or the runner-up to the Supplier will be treated in accordance with the Supplier’s privacy policy, which is accessible at: https://element-london.com/privacy-policy/
