Even though we send your details over very quickly, the Motor Insurance Database (MID) can be very slow to update - it can be several hours before your policy appears! No need to worry though - legally, you're still fully insured.ย 

Often, the MID database that the police access (through ANPR) is only updated once a week. We report to the MID more often than any other insurance company, but given the short-term nature of the policies, we canโ€™t guarantee when it will appear.

Itโ€™s important to note that your policy documents and insurance certificate, available in the app and in your email after purchase, are sufficient evidence of cover. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Finally, just so you know, itโ€™s the law that all vehicles on the road are insured at all times. Thatโ€™s known as Continuous Insurance Enforcement, which you can read more about on our blog.
