How to book a policy in advance
Enter the car’s number plate.
Tap the start time.
Select ‘Choose time’.
Pick when you want your policy to start and end.
Choose your starting location
For book-ahead policies, you’ll need to tell us where your trip will start.
This should be where you’ll be when the policy begins, not where you are when you buy it.
To add it:
Tap Add your starting location.
Enter a postcode or drop a pin on the map.
Taking a photo of the car
Sometimes, we’ll ask you to take a photo of the car before the policy starts.
This helps us check the car’s condition.
The car should be at your starting location
You won’t always be asked for a photo, so don’t worry if it doesn’t come up
Changing or cancelling a future policy
If your plans change, we can cancel a policy that hasn’t started yet.
You won’t be able to:
Change the start time
Move the policy forward
When booking ahead might not be available
In some cases, you might only be able to start a policy straight away.
This can happen if:
A vehicle photo wasn’t uploaded for a previous policy
Your starting location didn’t match when a previous policy began
You’re using a non-GB licence (for example, international or Northern Irish licences)
If this happens, you can still get cover, you’ll just need to start your policy immediately.
