Most of the time, you can choose whether your Cuvva policy starts right away or in the future. Sometimes you can't book ahead, though. Here are the most common reasons why:
1. You didn’t upload a vehicle photo
Booking ahead means choosing a start time in the future. If you do this, we need a photo of the vehicle before the policy starts. This helps us check the condition of the car before you drive.
If you skip this step more than once, you won’t be able to book ahead again. That means:
Future policies must start immediately
You’ll need to upload the vehicle photo before you can buy
2. You weren’t at the right location
When booking ahead, we’ll ask where your trip will begin. You must be at that location when your policy starts - otherwise, it could affect any claims you make.
If you are at a different location to where you said you would be more than once, we may stop you from booking ahead in future.
3. You are using a driving licence from outside England, Scotland, or Wales
You can only book ahead using driving licences issued within Britain (England, Scotland, or Wales). If you're driving using an international licence, or one issued in Northern Ireland, you can only buy policies that begin right away.
