Here's a little more information about who Cuvva can insure 👇
Age and licence
Exact age requirements can sometimes vary depending on your vehicle's type, age, value, and insurance group. But generally, here's how it works.
Full licence holders
Aged 19 to 70 for cars
Aged 21 to 70 for vans
Aged 25-75 for campervans
Held your licence for at least 6 months
If you’re under 21, you’ll usually need 6 months’ driving experience with no at-fault claims
Learner drivers
Learner drivers must be aged 17 to 50
Held your provisional licence for less than 15 years
Driving with a supervisor aged 25+ with 5 years’ experience
Accepted licences
You can use Cuvva with:
A UK driving licence issued in England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland
A full EU licence (most countries)
A full licence from Norway or Switzerland
Here's the full list of international driving licences you can use with Cuvva.
Your driving history
We can often cover drivers who’ve had:
Previous claims or accidents
Licence points or endorsements
It depends on the details, so it’s important to declare everything before you buy a policy.
Your vehicle
We cover a wide range of cars, vans, motorhomes, and campervans.
If you didn’t get a quote, it might be down to the vehicle itself. You can try again with a different one, or see what vehicles Cuvva covers.
Other things we check
We’ll also check:
That you’re in Great Britain when starting your policy
That we can find your DVLA and vehicle details
That your account is active
Try again in the app
Sometimes you might not get a quote for one vehicle, but you can for another.
It’s always worth trying again, as things can change.
